RESEARCH ON STRUCTURAL HEALTH MONITORING OF OPEN TYPE WHARF ON PILES

As an important type of wharf, the open type wharfs on piles are used widely in ports,especially where the silt-seam is thick. Compared with gravity quays components, the components of open type wharf on piles are more complex and slender, which make them being dilapidated more quickly and havoc the wharfs security and applicability. With rigorous working condition, the seaport open type wharf on piles has lower durability than others. The health monitoring for the open type wharf on piles is necessary and urgent. In this paper, base on detection data and considering the working ways of open type wharf on piles, the effect factors for the security and durability of the wharf are researched, and indicators of the structural health monitoring for it are proposed. Damage identification methods for open type wharf on piles are discussed, and an available damage identification method is proposed. Finally, the current status of application of structural health monitoring for open type wharf on piles is presented and some suggestions are proposed.
