PARAMETER EFFECTS ON DYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF TRANSMISSION LINE
The parameters effects of transmission line on its dynamic properties are actively carded out in this study. The theoretical approach for determining the natural frequencies of the transmission line is first presented. The multi-degree-of-freedom (MDOF) model is then presented by simulating the transmission line as several lumped masses connected with elastic elements. An actual transmission tower-line system constructed in China is taken as example to examine the feasibility and possibility of proposed approach. The effects of various parameters of the transmission line such as element number, Youngs modulus coefficient and working tensile force on the dynamic characteristics are numerically investigated in detail. The observations demonstrate that the MDOF model is effective in simulating both the in-plane and out-of-plane vibration of transmission line with optimal analytical parameters.
