THE STUDY ON MECHANICAL MODEL AND BEARING CAPACITY OF SFRC DOUBLE-COLUMN CONBINED THICK CAPS WITH SIX PILES

Steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) is widely used in several engineering fields due to its good mechanical capability. From the study of tests and nonlinear finite element analysis with 3 specimens of SFRC double-column combined six-pile cap, the failure pattern and load-transferring mechanism are discussed. The results of study indicate that the load-transferring mechanism of SFRC double-column combined six-pile cap is with accordance to the spatial strut-and-tie model (STM).Based on this view, the calculation formula of SFRC double-column combined six-pile caps bearing capacity is given. Then, the formula has been demonstrated to be reasonable by the tests data and results of finite element analysis.
