STRUCTURE AND WATERPROOF MEASURES FOR METRO TO TRAVERSE GROUND FISSURES IN XIAN

ground fissures in Xian are great threat to the metro construction. In this paper, the origin of the ground fissures and their movement characteristics are summed up at first, and then on this basis, by analyzing the special damage of ground fissure on the metro, a countermeasure of two-layer structure with detachable segment is put forward, which has taken into account of the adverse effects of the ground fissure on the tunnel structure, on the railway track, and on the tunnel waterproof. The study is meaningful for design and construction of Xian metro.
