OPTIMUM FOR APPENDIX DAMPER OF DISSIPATION STRUCTURE UNDER RANDOM EXCITATION
Dissipation structures possess non-classical damping because of the supplemental damping devices. Pseudo-excitation method has been applied to gain the random response of dissipation structure since the method can be used to analysis non-classical damping. After Pseudo-responses separated to two parts of real and complex, the closing solution of mean square response for structure stories under random excitation was developed in this paper. The efficiency of computing was improved as real mode is only related to mass matrix and stiff matrix while damping matrix cannot change mode vectors. After objective function built GA has been used for optimal appendix damping coefficient in multiple degrees of freedom (MDOF) discrete system
