NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF WIND PRESSURE AND WIND-INDUCED VIBRATION OF TENSION MEMBRANE STRUCTURE
Based on the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), the wind pressure on the structural surface and wind-structure interaction were investigated, where the arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) description, Menter SST model and the iterative solution technique for the coupling dynamic system were introduced. Through the numerical example of a saddle-backed tension membrane structure, it is found that the wind-structure interaction has significant influence on wind pressure around the structural surface and the dynamic behaviors of the membrane structural system. Besides, there exist rather differences of the structural wind-induced responses between the closed and open membrane structural systems and the latter is more intensive to dynamic wind action.
