EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON SEISMIC BEHAVIOR OF MORTISE-TENON JOINTS REINFORCED WITH CFRP SHEETS AND FLAT STEEL IN CHINESE ANCIENT WOODEN BUILDING
Based on a low-cyclic reversed loading experiment of two wooden frame models which were made in accordance with the requirements by Ying Zao Fa Shi (Building Standards) of Song dynasty, the mechanical behaviour of 4 joints reinforced with CFRP sheets and 4 joints reinforced with flat steel plates, such as hysteretic properties, skeleton curves, ductility, energy dissipation and rigidity degeneration are studied. The test results show that a good effect can be achieved with the joints reinforced by CFRP sheets and flat steel plate, which provide the theoretical supports for the seismic design and strengthened method of Chinese ancient wooden buildings.
