ANALYSIS AND FIELD STATIC LOADING TEST OF PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BEAM

Combining with the specific project, mechanical and deformation performance of a 31 m-span prestressed concrete beam are analyzed based on the field static load test. The deflections,effects of inverted arch and strain behavior of concrete and prestressed bars are measured, and the load-deflection curve of this beam is obtained. The bearing capacity and load effects of the beam in different stages are then analyzed. The results indicate the maximum midspan deflection is 24.46mm under service load and the value is 4.25mm when considering effects of inverted arch. The concrete of midspan section is always in compression, and no cracks appear and calculation of normal section crack resistance could fully meet the code requirements.
