EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE BOLTING TOP-JOINT OF TRUSS COLUMN IN 500KV SUBSTATION
A new type of bolting truss-column in 500kV substation was put forward in this paper. As a welding truss-column in length of 28m to be concerned, the finite element method was used to verify the feasibility of the bolting connection and the top-joint specimens. Six specimens of bolting top-joint were tested. The analytical and experimental results show that the bolting truss-column could satisfy the stiffness and intensity demands of the common welding truss-column. Furthermore,increasing the vertical plate thickness enhances the columns stiffness and intensity more than increasing the bolt number in the cover plate does. The results are references for designing and optimizing the bolting truss-column.
