Devising 218Po Rapid Emanometer
218Po nuclide is a short-lived daughter of radon daughters and also a radiation- . The 218Po rapidemanometer takes the good advantage of the shorter accumulation time of 218Po to reveal the radon gas distribution by gathering and measuring the intensity of ray radiated from 218Po nuclide during the nucli de decay. The instrument realizes the collection of ray by using the methods of high efficiency receiving, photovoltaic conversion, multipolar multiplication and amplification. The existence and distribution of radon can be measured and known indirectly by late processing and computing to solve the investigation problem of geological disasters. The instrument improves the radon measurement method to shorten the sampling instant, improve work efficiency and reduce the cost of the work. Abundance of field measurements and interpretations show that the measurement results matched with the reality of geological data.
