Adaptive Quantum Genetic Algorithm and Its Application to 1D Magnetotelluric Data

Quantum Genetic Algorithm (QGA) has been introduced to the magnetotelluric inverse problem in layered media. Premature convergence has been observed in numerical tests using QGA. Here we incorporate QGA with an adaptive algorithm, which, according to the verification using typical test functions and theoretical layered model, can effectively suppress this phenomenon. The Adaptive Quantum Genetic Algorithm (AQGA) dynamically adjusts the model search space of QGA so that it can adaptively search the optimization model in the iteration process and in turn has a higher search efficiency and results in a better inverse solution.
