Fast Numerical Simulation of High Density Resistivity Method On 3-D Geoelectric Model
High density resistivity survey is a new direct current (DC) resistivity method which is developed in America and Japan since 1980. The elementary principle is an array exploration that is same as DC. In this paper, a new method of fast numerical simulation is presented in high density resistivity method on 3-D geoelectric model after analyse the basic equation for DC electrical method. The total electric field is proportional to the center of cell when background resistivity is close to inhomogeneous resistivity. Numerical techniques being used full integral equation formulations have been introduced for the secondary potential difference and are used for modeling of high density resistivity method. The program is designed for fast high density resistivity modeling. In order to testify validity of the new modeling method, a model example is computed by dipole-dipole configuration which shows the calculation speed of modeling is fast. The numerical result is compared with 3-D integral equation algorithm, yielding maximum deviation of 3% for most of the computed values of the apparent resistivity. All of those show the simulation result of synthetic model is correct and indicate the new method is accurate and fast.
