THE CHANGE CHARACTERISTICS OF ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD FROM BEFORE TO AFTER WENCHUAN Ms8.0 EARTHQUAKE
In recent years, Occurring four mid-strong earthquakes including Wenchuan earthquake in the southeast of GanSu and Gansu-Sichuan border region, Longnan Hanwang station observed abnormal changes relative electromagnetic field. It shows following features: 1) 2003 ~ May 2008, the earth resistivity data shows that the long trend of accelerated and turned change, and increased, descend etc. earthquake (anomaly) year is more than two times of the value of no earthquake( regular )year variation.2) In May 2008, The Wenchuan 8.0 earthquake and the aftershocks sequence, observed the auto-spectrum of magnetic and electric field abnormal changes were normal in the 1-3 orders in ELF (0.5 Hz ~ 39Hz) frequency band. The long period geoelectric field data also recorded impending change information. This earthquake prediction has provided more channels.
