Resistivity and acoustic imaging logging in the main hole of the Chinese Continental Scientific Drilling Project
The site of the Chinese Continental Scientific Drilling (CCSD) Project is located in Donghai County,Jiangsu Province,China,at the east of Sulu ultrahigh pressure metamorphic belt which possesses global geological significance. The main hole was drilled to a depth of 5118.2 m.Wireline logging operations are carried out in the main hole, and borehole image data are obtained from both of resistivity and acoustic imaging tools. This paper introduces the data acquisition, processing and applications of the resistivity and acoustic image logging in the CCSD main hole.
