Detection and analysis on induced cracking in rock mass based on digital panoramic borehole camera technology
The present paper focuses on application of DPBCS (digital panoramic borehole camera system) in mining engineering. It is of very importance and significance to study the relationship between fracture development in rock mass and mechanism of induced caving technology. The system provides special method to calculate, account and analysis of the fracture parameters. The evolvement situation of discontinuities in rock mass under the artificial disturbance is reflected perspicuously by the video and images.Using the data acquisition obtained by computer system, the evolution laws and the quantitative relation of induce fracturing crack were studied according to statistics theory.Pre-splitting crack in borehole plays a key effect on failure of rock mass.Furthermore, fracture in pre-splitting boreholes under coupling effect by stopping disturbing and blasting was extremely well-developed.Steep obliquity, narrow width and short trace length are the main characteristic of fracture.Ultimately, interaction and coalescence of fractures after a period of time lead failure of rock mass.
