The geophysical investigation for archeology in Jinyang ancient city

By using high density resistivity and ground penetrating radar method,the profile with a length of 13kin is completed in the first stage area of archeological investigation for the Jinyang Site.The characteristic of shallow soil layer is obtained and the thickness and areal distribution of Xishan mountain foothill is defined by analyzing and spade exploring partial anomaly.It is found that the distribution of inhomogeneous layers ranges from 2m to 15m and the layers of ancient civilization locate mainly below 4m from the surface.The ancient pottery pieces,tomb pit and artificial stone material are found with archeological significance in the nursery of QiaoYou Company located in the detected area.It should be noted that it deserves further research in order to discover new findings.The discovery and study for the Jinyang Site provides the methods and technology on archeology and have important significance to guide the archeology in future.
