Telemetry system for intelligent high power transmitter in electrical exploration

Transmitter,which supplies excitation source for electrical exploration,is an important part of instrument for electrical exploration.Excitation source is needed in many geo-electrical exploration methods,such as festivity,IP,TEM and CSAMT.Different design pattern of Transmitter and Receiver have different application range and deficiency.There is one problem that the transmitter is unable to conserve battery energy or oil.Another problem is that operators often work alongside the receiver and are unable to observe the transmitters state.Therefore,this paper tries to resolve how to take auto inspection of the Transmitter with the help of the wireless serial communication.Scilicet,it explains how to complete the design of telemetry system.First,formulate a set of serial communications protocol for improving the accurate of communication.On this basis,according to the communications protocol we can stipulate all kind of state information of the Transmitter and commands used in the serial transmission.Receiver software is programmed by language of VB,and Transmitters software is programmed by language of MSC-51.The results of Experiment show that the telemetry system can transmit state information and commands accord to the communication protocol.The Transmitter can execute corresponding operation according to the control command that sent by the Receiver and the Receiver can display the state information get from the Transmitter immediately.The telemetry system is proved stably in the fieldwork and all of functions are normal.
