High-power CSAMT acquisition and processing applied to areas with strong interference

Petroleum exploration in urban areas has been a challenging task for a long time.In BD city in northern China,there have been no suitable geophysical methods applied to oil and gas exploration.High-power Controlled Source Audio-frequency Magnetotellurics (CSAMT) has been deployed as an optimum method in this area.In consideration of special issues in data acquisition,interference analysis,noise suppression and static corrections in urban areas,novel techniques are developed to ensure raw data quality and interpretation accuracy.Our study shows a clear relationship between the BD sag and the THS uplift.The fault distribution and local trap structures obtained from our study agree well with the known geological and geophysical studies.
