The application of adaptive chirplet transform in target detection of GPR data

GPR become an important method in UXO and landmine detection for it can detection both metal and non-metallic targets. But it is difficult to remove the cutter from surface reflection and target identification because of low SNR of GPR data.In this paper,we use the chirplet transform to rejection the clutter from the surface according to the characters, then pick up the signal of the UXO by the adaptive chirplet transform based on Radon-Wigner distribution. The result from the processing real GPR data shows the clutter can be rejected effectively and the targets response can be got with much higher SNR than that of migrated data.
