Computation of Transient Electromagnetic Field from Rectangular Loop over a Layered Earth
Large Loop configuration is a rather rapid electromagnetic exploration method in the paper,a new computation technique was developed to evaluate the transient electromagnetic(TEM)fields ofrectangular large loops over layered earth in the method,a rectangular large loop is partitioned and integrated by a few small square loops whose current equal to that of the large loop And in frequency domain,the integration leads the electromagnetic field to be expressed by a standard Hankel transform,and the loop size and shape are incorporated into the integrand by the integration of O-order Bessel function with respect to space variables Transient responses were calculated by cosine transform from the frequency domain resuks The model responses evaluated with the method agree very well with the analytical resuks of half space And resuks from the responses oflayered earth and real data validate the feasibility ofthe method
