1+1/4 Necessary and Sufficient Conditions of Organic Chelating Agents as Depressors or Activators

More and more researches and applications of organic chelating agents as depressors or activators are carried out in the course of research and application of modem flotation. The paper puts forward the necessary condition of organic chelating agents as depressors or activators by analyzing the chelating chemical performance of organic chelating agents with metal ions and the stability of chelates formed by them; at the same time, puts forward four sufficient conditions of organic chelating agents as depressors or activators according to different hydrophilic capability of the chelates and different performance of depression and activation of organic chelating agents for minerals.Namely, the 1 + 1/4 necessary and sufficient conditions of organic chelating agents as depressors or activators are put forward.
