The Concept of Harmony in the Traditional Chinese Culture and the Multinational Companies Cross-cultural Management in China
We try to discuss in this paper the positive significance of the traditional Chinese concept of harmony to the multinational companies in China in practicing efficient cross-cultural mamagement. By the end of 2007, there are 260,000 foreign invensted enterprises in China (among those half of them were investments from Hongkong, Macow and Taiwan Districts). History and culture constitute a new perspective for study of cross-cultural management. As the process of economic globalization gathers momentum and social life is becoming increasingly information based. That will be of immensely great and positive significance to endeavors to deepen the understanding of the cross-cultural management theories and practices and to promote the understanding of enterprises different in cultural background on cross-cultural management issue.
