Mineral Processing Technology for Multi-Metallic Tungsten Ores in China
China is a country with abundant resources of tungsten, taking one of the worlds top-positions regarding both the total reserve and the amount of industrial production. Chinas tungsten resources occur mostly in multi-metallic deposits rather than in single-metallic deposits. Chinas multi-metallic tungsten ores have the characteristics of coexistence with other valuable components such as molybdenum, bismuth, copper, sulfur and fluorite. These ores are usually low in grade and difficult to process. The technological challenge in mineral processing lies in separation of multi-metallic components in these complex ores and a comprehensive utilization of natural resource. Several cases of industrial practice of processing Chinas typical multi-metallic tungsten ores are presented.
