The Application of AHP-Fuzzy to Sustainable Development Assessment of the Chemical Fiber Industry
This paper presents the concept of comprehensive evaluation index system of chemical fiber industry based on the essential principles of AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) and fuzzy comprehensive assessment. On the basis of calculating the pollutant generation and discharge coefficient of textile industry and of taking nylon industry as a research example in addition to energy consumption, industrial policy, and future direction for sustainable development, numbers of advanced evaluation indicators which can represent the characteristics of the industry, including environmental, economic, social and various other aspects, have been screened out, followed by the defining of comprehensive evaluation index system and the establishing of the discrimination matrix for comprehensive evaluation. Based on the discrimination matrix with AHP-Fuzzy analysis model, the values of importance of the indicators is calculated, and the membership of each indicator to the grades is determined by the estimates of experts. Thus the total vector of the comprehensive assessment of the whole industrial system is calculated, and the comprehensive evaluation index system for the future development of the textile industries is set up, which can be used for the comprehensive evaluation of sustainable development for the industry, therefore providing available technological supports for the sustainable development of the industry.
