Study on Biomechanics-based Ergonomics for Prosthetic Leg Design
Prosthetic leg(PL) is not only a typical Man-machine(M-M) system, but also features in highly integrated system of dynamics. The special effects of biomechanic factors, besides the factors of anatomy and psychology, on the performnce of PL need to be specially considered for the PL design. A model of ergonomics for PL (EPL) mainly based on human body biomechanics is putting forward at a new angle of viewpoint here. An indication system for the performance evaluation of PL based on the biomechanics is studied, and a model of PL self-adaptive structure and its control have been set up. The method of EPL will provide the safe, comfort and effective design of PL with a new method of ergonomics.
