The Application of PCA for Comprehensive Evaluation of Financial Performance of Listed Companies
Basing on the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and SPSS, the financial performance of 33 companies listed in chemical lines of Shanghai stock market in 2006 is comprehensively evaluated. The results show that qualities of making profit and fund operating significantly affect financial performance of those companies. The case study in the paper indicates that the Principal Component Analysis has a good application for evaluation of the financial performance of the listed companies.
