Study on the Pricing of Agriculture Catastrophe Insurance Products in China: Taking Wheat for Example
On the basis of an introduction to and an evaluation of the theories and practices of the pricing of agriculture catastrophe insurance, this paper proposes the adoption of the insurance mode of all risks of unitary crop and all risks of unitary livestock, based on Chebyshevs Law of Large Numbers and taking wheat for example. According to the calculating method of the pure premium rate of Americas synthesized crop insurance, combining and modifying the relative ratio calculating method of premium rate, it ascertains the calculating method of the premium of Chinas agriculture catastrophe insurance. The wheat premium rates of all provinces are calculated pursuant to formulas, and the result is employed in the zoning of wheat premium rate.
