The Application and Model Analyses of VE in Building Engineering

摘要：

This paper discussed the thinking and methods of value engineering (EV) in building engineering. It introduced the models and specific methods of VE in different stages of building engineering, such as design, bidding, construction, checking and accepting, use and so on. And it analyzed functional elements, cost elements, and their relationships of various stages. Then it analyzed the importance of the design stage, and Carrying out VE in this stage is very efficiency. Finally it summed up the characteristics of the VE method in building engineering.
