Study on the Hospitals Value Chain Optimization for Competition Advantage
Survival and development in the competitive environment is urgent for the hospitals in China. This paper discusses the means for hospitals to enhancing management level and increasing benefits through value chain management. In the view of value creating for the patients, this paper presents the methods to optimize the hospitals value chain from both microcosmic and macrocosmic views. Microcosmic view is referring to hospital business process reengineering. This paper brings forward the practical method to optimize the hospital value chain based on elimination, transformation and integration; Macrocosmic view is referring to hospital stratagy process reengineering. The paper brings forward the practical method to optimize the hospital value chain based on illness treatment, leechdom earning and brand building.
