Research on the Relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance Structure
In theory, CSR refers mainly to the responsibility for various stakeholders besides all proprietors of capital when the firm profits, while CG refers mainly to the mechanisms which protect outsiders and ensure an effective working of the firm. The paper discusses these concepts, with particular attention to the relation between CSR and CGS. The available empirical evidence shows that CGS is positively related to the CSR. This suggests that in the long run the companies should make great efforts to find some better way to achieve CSR from their inside governance. At the same time, they also could survey their capability of CSR through its executive circumstances.
