Application of RFID Technology in Home Appliance Distribution Logistics
Logistics cost is an important measure for home appliance industry that has been developed to a mature period of renewal life cycle. According to the analysis of practical problems in distribution logistics of traditional home appliance industry, this paper proposes a distribution logistics management program for this industry based on RFID technology. It covers the entire distribution process from final linear to distribution center and to distribution terminal. This paper develops a visual warehouse management system based on RFID and a vehicle monitoring and tracking system with Visual Basic and Map Objects, and they are used to monitor and track products in distribution center or in transit combined with GPS and GIS. This system can effectively improve management efficiency and quality of home appliance distribution center.
