Studies on the Selection of the Fourth Party Logistics

The fourth party logistics(4PL) is the further optimization of supply chains based on the third party logistics. It aims to provide a comprehensive solution to the whole supply chains by incorporating its own capabilities and the recourses, technology owned by the third party logistics in order to maintain the nuclear companys competitive edge. This paper puts focus on the selection of the fourth party logistics from the perspective of performance measurement for the whole supply chain by combining both qualitative and quantitative methods, using the Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and the performance measurement method, respectively. And the order arrangement method is utilized in the combination process. After that, a concrete example is well presented as an illustration and some relative analysis is given following the calculation.
