The Researches on the Petri net-based Optimization and Empirical Study on Customized Enterprises Supply Chain
Production oriented to customization(POC)would inevitably be faced by those enterprises which had to meet the different needs of customers, however, for the POC there were large quantities of difficulties would appear in their supply chains, such as information overload, technology and resource constraints. All of these problems made it hard to effectively and quickly respond to customers needs. Therefore, we need to find a new way to deal effectively with the problems about how to respond quickly to supply chains oriented to customization. In this paper Petri nets are used to solve the above problems. First of all, the structure of customized enterprises supply chain is analyzed and studied and then to consider what measures could be taken to quickly meet customers different demands, as well as how to chose suppliers according to the variable demands. Secondly, the enterprises workflow and the methods of materials procurement is analyzed then the classic Petri nets model is constructed according to the characteristics of its internal supply chain. Then the work process is improved, the suppliers are classified and the procurement programmers were adjusted in order to re-construction a model. Finally, the changes of each process is triggered one by one in accordance with the work flow and material flow,and the whole time cost by the entire process is invested. Though comparing the time cost by different Petri nets, a proper structure of supply chain can be found and applied to the production. Through studying a typical customized enterprises case, this paper shows that the Petri nets could effectively improve the speed of response to the supply chain of the enterprise oriented to customization. In other words,Petri nets could widely be used in the improvement of the supply chain especially in the uncertain and more complex customized supply chain.
