STABILITY ANALYSES OF THE LONG-SPAN 3D-TRUSSED ARCHES OF THE SPHERICAL RETICULATED MEGA-STRUCTURE IN THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

As to erection of the long-span 3D-trussed arches by integral hoisting in the construction process of the spherical reticulated mega-structure, some temporary supports should be set to keep stability of the arches. In this paper, the two kinds of arches, i.e. the single 3D-trussed arch and the perpendicularly intersecting 3D-trussed arch system, which surely exist in the construction process of the spherical reticulated mega-structure, are studied. The temporary support arrangements of these two kinds of 3D-trussed arches are presented and analyzed firstly. Then the stabilities of them with different temporary support conditions are compared in detail; the proper arrangement scheme of temporary supports is therefore obtained. The work in this paper will provide guidance in theory for construction and erection of the spherical reticulated mega-structure.
