Application of joint inversion of magnetotelluri and seismic data based on random physical properties distributions
We study a model construction method based on common gridded model with radom resistivity and velocity distributions to meet the needs of joint inversion and the complicated model with large resistivity and velocity variations. By improving the ray-tracing method in seismic travel-time computing to suit the gridded meida with random velocity distribution, we fulfill the synchronous joint inversion of magnetotelluric(MT) & seismic data based on this kind of common gridded model in accordance with the improved very fast simulated annealing algorithm. The joint inversion of the observed data in middle Guizhou Uplift of China with constrained prior information represents quite good effects, which make it clear that this method is effective and practicable in improving inversion accuracy and reducing ambiguity.KeyWords: magnetotelluric (MT), seismic, joint inversion, simulated annealing algorithm, gridded model, middleGuizhou Uplift
