Research of Sequencing Problem of Mixed-Model U-Shaped Assembly Lines Based on NSGA-II
Mixed-model U-shaped assembly lines are an important part of lean production. Its important to have a proper sequencing model with complexity and randomness to control assembly lines more effectively. Then the new sequencing multi-objective model of mixed-model U-shaped assembly lines is established. Including minimizing the variability in parts usage, minimizing total utility work keeping a constant rate of part-usage and minimizing total switch time. And the NSGA-II (Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm- II) is applied to solve the model. Finally, a simulation with the example analyses given by Matlab proved the efficient of the model.
