Comparison between design calculating method of axial-forced members in Chinese and American steel structural code
This paper compares and analyzes some typical problems (primarily point to axial tension and axial compression)in American steel structural code and Chinese one,which is currently in effect,in order to map out the difference between them and the reasons causing the problems.Therefore,it is usable for engineering designer to learn the difference between the two codes basically in the process of design.Thus it helps them for engineering design.
