Reaction behavior of phosphorus in the multi-phase flux at 1673 K
The CaO-based multi-phase flux for dephosphorization is of growing importance to improve the refining performance.The present work is focused on the reaction behavior of phosphorus in the multi-phase flux.The solid CaO or 2CaO·SiO2 was reacted with CaO-SiO2-FeOx-P2O5 slag at 1673 K.The interface between solid CaO or 2CaO·SiO2and molten slag was observed and analyzed by SEM/EDS.The results showed that P2O5 in the slag would be condensed into the 2CaO·SiO2 phase as solid solution or compound.The formation mechanism of the P2O5 rich phase was also discussed.
