Development and application of on-line surface inspection system for hot-rolled strips
A new surface inspection system for hot-rolled strips was developed.The system is equipped with multiple CCD line-scan cameras as image acquisition devices of hot-rolled strips.Linear lasers are applied as lightings for homogeneous illumination under high temperature.To avoid false defects caused by scales,water and unhomogeneous illumination on surface of hot-rolled strips,different detection algorithms were developed for different types of defects according to its characteristics.Classification rate of common defects is up to 85.6%.
