The mathematic model of accelerated control cooling and the control technology of plate shape in Baosteel Heavy Plate Mill

The first largest wide and heavy plate mill was built in Baosteel in March 2005,whose process of about 40%productivity adopted Thermal Mechanic Control Process (TMCP).The process equipment and model control technology of accelerated controlled cooling system in heavy plate mill of Baosteel have been introduced respectively.Based on the system characteristics and the on-site producing practice of heavy plate mill,the plate shape defection after finishing rolling and accelerated control cooling has been generally classified and analyzed.Moreover,the control technology of the controlled cooling plate shape has been put forward from the different aspect of rolling parameters and masking control and side-spray adjustment and water flux flow calibration and set-point and leveling parameters.The application result of plate shape control measurement shows that the plate wave defection incidence rate decrease from 3.23% to 0.03% in 2007.
