Simulation-based optimization with applications to iron and steel industry

Simulation-based optimization is a new optimization technology developed in recent year for the optimization problems of complex systems which cannot be described by simply functions.We discuss the three phases of optimization development.The main oriented problems are also pointed out.A survey on the researches on this topic is presented.The potential problems on the theory,computation and applications are addressed.Finally,we discuss the possible applications to iron and steel industry.
