Applications of the top-side combined blowing in the 120t AOD
The distinct AOD of Baosteel has to use the side-top combined blowing to make the stainless steel efficiently,because its start-carbon content is more than 3% after EAF melting in which the hot metal from the Blast Furnace is used as one of the main materials.Even if 7 side-blow tuyeres and 1 top lance are used in this AOD,the way of the tuyeres distribution is not very reasonable which means the set-angle between the adjacent two myeres,so the results is not very good from the point view of the chromium oxidation,the rate of the decarburization,the argon consumption and so on.To make the improvement,the adjustment was made on the set-angle between the adjacent two side tuyeres and many achievements were got in Baosteel,for example,the yield of the chromium and the rate of ecarburizaiton was increased by 0.71% and 0.01%/min respectively and the duration of the oxygen supplying was shortened by 2.4 min.
