Kinetics modeling of VC precipitation in ferrite
In light of Bhadeshias assumption which supposes the shape of VC in ferrite as a parabolic cylinder with constant concentration on the tip,a new mathematical model has been developed to describe the kinetics of VC precipitated in ferrite on the basis of classical nucleation theory and Zener-Hillert equation.The present model considers the influence of alloy composition,capillary,interracial structure and dislocation density on precipitation kinetics and can calculate the mean size and volume fraction of VC at different temperature and time.Model validation indicates that acceptable simulation precision has been obtained in the present model.
