The Experimental Study on the Effect of Evaporator Configuration on Frosting Characteristic of Air Source Heat Pump

This article studies the solutions to the problem of the frost formed on the surface of evaporator of air source heat pump.The effects of the various configuration parameters of finned-tube evaporator,such as the number of tube row,fin space on the frosting performance of evaporator of air source heat pump were experimentally investigated.The varied correlations between evaporator configuration parameters and the frost thickness,pressure drop have been obtained.The experimental result shows that the frost on evaporator will act differently on the performance of heat pump when the structure parameters changed.It is found that the evaporator configuration parameters have a great influence on the frosting of finned-tube evaporator.The experimental results are very useful to optimize structural layout and improve operating performance of air source heat pump.
