3D MT data processing method in complicated mountain area,a case study
3D MT data in complicated mountain area may be badly distorted due to the poor terrain and the frequently changed electric property of near-surface heterogeneities. The distortion must be corrected before the inversion. The paper introduces the terrain correction and static correction method for 3D MT data as well as a case in China. Firstly, a modified ratio method is used for the terrain correction,and 3D SF-M (space-frequency medium filter) method for noise suppression and static corrections.Then pseudo-three dimensional non-linear conjugate gradient inversion method is adopted for 3D resistivity imaging. Finally we performed 3D visualization interpretation with the inversion data on GeoEast(r).
