Research on properties potential of Si-Cr spring steel
By controlling rolling and temper parameter,the mechanical properties of Si-Cr spring steel 60Si2CrAmod.reached ultra high strength and plasticity level (Rm-2280 MPa,Rp0.2-2100 MPa,A-11% ,Z-39%).The study analyzed the steel s microstructure by electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD)and phase analysis technique,and the results indicated that both the fine grain structure and nanometer ε(θ)carbide (median size d50 ≤ 17.5 nm)were the main reasons that experimental steel reach ultra high strength with maintaining high plasticity.
