Testing and production of KBGCrl5 bearing steel wire rod

The results of small-lot preproduction with the optimized rolling and cooling process show that,the net carbide level could be classified as 2.5 and below,the reduction of area could be over 20%,the spheroidizing process before drawing become dispensable,the brittle failure and heavy net carbide that generated frequently during rolling process were avoided.The feedback on large-lot production proved the stable quality of KBGCrl5 wire rod,which can be directly drawn into steel wire without spheroidizing process,the modified spheroidized structure enable the bearing rolling elements improved quenching and tempering performance and longer fatigue life.
