Study of microstructure and stress corrosion cracking for Inconel 690 alloy
The effects of cold work on grain boundary orientation and stress corrosion cracking of Inconel 690 alloy were studied using backscatter electron diffraction pattern and U-bend test.The effect of scratches on crack initiation of Inconel 690 alloy was studied.The results showed that the amount of ∑3 grain boundary decreased with the increasing tension strain,and the decreasing rate of ∑3 grain boundary would be retarded by 2D tension.With the increase of the pre-strain,Inconel 690 alloy cracked at caustic lead containing solution at 330℃.
