Influence of post hot-rolling cooling on the mechanical properties and microstructures of a cold-rolled dual phase steel sheet
In this paper,the effect of post hot rolling cooling on the mechanical properties and microstructures of a cold rolled dual phase steel sheet is investigated.The cooling conditions after hot rolling arc water jet cooling to room temperature,water jet cooling to 600℃ followed by air jet cooling to room temperature,and water jet cooling to 600℃followed by furnace cooling,respectively.The SEM results show that the microstructures of the cold rolled dual phase steel,whose post hot rolling conditions are different,have no observable morphology difference.However,the mechanical properties of the dual phase steel are influenced modestly by the post hot-rolling conditions.The tensile strength of cold rolled DP steel,which is cooled by water jet to room temperature after hot rolling,is about 40 MPa less than the DP steels processed otherwise.
