Research on the welding process of 590 MPa grade high strength automobile beam steel sheet
The high strength automobile beam steel sheet of 590 MPa grade in tensile strength is mainly applied to manufacture the beam of trucks.So the welding properties are very important to keep the safety of the truck.The microstructure and mechanical properties of welding joints processed by CO2 arc welding with different welding parameters were studied.The result shows that the welding joints are weak when welding heat input are too less and the inclusion defects found in the weld joints when welding heat input are too much.The quality of the welding joints is really well at 170 A of the arc current and 24 V of the arc voltage.Keeping the other welding parameters fixed,the incomplete fusion defect shows in the welding joint with backward welding and the quality of the welding joint is well with forward welding.
